Deciding on the right hair color in Anchorage, AK can be tricky. You want a color that enhances your natural skin tone and works to complement it rather than detract from it. Depending on your skin tone, certain hair colors can make you look paler or give you a dull appearance. Stick with these suggested hair colors for your matching skin tone and you will not only have a color that works for you, but you will absolutely love the results.

Hair colors for cool skin tones

If you have a pale skin tone that has underlying hues of blue or green, you will want to avoid getting a hair color in Anchorage, AK that will further wash out the skin. Look for colors that add warmth. A golden blonde is an ideal choice, as it works to warm up the face with its golden hue. Stay away from ash colors, as these also have blue undertones and blend in with your skin tone, making you look paler.

Caramel hair color in Anchorage, AK is ideal for medium skin tones that have cool hues to them. It will warm up the face and give you a natural glow. Medium skin tones should be careful not to go too dark or too light, as this can work against you by accentuating dark circles under the eyes or making your skin look dull.

Hair colors for warm skin tones

For medium skin tones with a warm hue, try a dark chestnut brown color. This will create contrast with your skin tone and work to bring out your eyes. Going with too dark a color will be too drastic with this skin tone, so steer clear of black. Highlights will also work well with a dark brown to soften it and create some goldenness.

Try a red color for skin that is pale but has warm tones to it. This will work to contrast with the paleness of the skin and will bring out your freckles. Red hair color in Anchorage, AK will highlight yellow undertones in the skin and provide a playful look that works.

Olive skin tones can be enhanced with very dark brown hair coloring. This will make the facial features more striking and really work to bring them out. Go with a very dark brown hair coloring and keep it a few shades above black for maximum impact.

Dark skin with warm tones to it looks nice in a dark auburn brown color. This will complement your skin tone and add more warmth to your face. Go with a deep auburn color rather than black with this complexion.

Whatever your skin tone, you are sure to find a hair color in Anchorage, AK that will work to enhance it by bringing out your features and giving you a natural glow. • I really like what was said about making sure your hair color compliments your skin tone. This makes sense to me because you wouldn’t want a hair color that throws everything off. I have a great friend who has very light skin and as soon as she colored her hair red her face started to glow!

  • I am always wanting to change up my look, and currently I am wanting to change the color of my hair. This is something that I have never done before, and am looking for suggestions on how to choose the right one. I like how you pointed out that with my skin tone, I might want to consider using a caramel color. It would be nice to have a color that would give me a natural glow to my face.
